What Up, Owl?

I had a pretty long Thanksgiving break. And I truly enjoyed every second, minute, hour, day of the holiday weekend. I hope you had a great Thanksgiving weekend, too!

South Moon Under x Cupcakes and Cashmere Event

I was thisclose to not attending South Moon Under grand opening celebration of their new store in Mosaic District. Why?

Animal Lover by Force

I don't care much for animals. I mean, yeah, I'll oooh and awww from time to time when I see a cute animal .gif or a cute animal meme or see a cute animal physically in front of me. Like this:

This was at an event last night at South Moon Under.
Recap coming soon.

Cats are evil. I'm convinced. Shout-out to my cat lover readers out there but nah. Then we got cats thinking they can defy gravity and...yeah. Dogs? I can tolerate. Really really, I'm scared of dogs. But from time to time one comes around and once I calm myself down and realize that they are not ready to bite my face off, I ease up...and even pet them. O_O

Anywho, even though animals don't rock my world, I am ALL OVER the animal motif trend that is rocking the fashion world this Fall season. I've seen so many cute ones that if I hear myself going awww one more damn time...

Check out a few animal motif sweaters and pullovers that got me awww-ing swooning:

Are you into this trend like I am? How would you style an animal motif sweater or pullover? Peering into my crystal ball, I see myself styling the Old Navy Sheep sweater with a cute pair of  printed pants I recently purchased. Be on the lookout for that outfit. *winks*

Blogger Reception @ Arundel Mills

I'm a morning person. My body does not understand the term sleeping in. I wished it did, though. The only time it happens is if I'm drunk tipsy the night before or I'm sick. That's about it. So, it wasn't a problem for me waking up bright and early on a beautiful Saturday morning to go to the Bloggers Reception at Arundel Mills.

In one my favorite section: Purses!

The main store where we had our breakfast and trend report session was at Last Call by Neiman Marcus. The trend report session was given by the Last Call manager at Arundel Mills, Dan Grossman. He showed us some of the fall trends that are currently in his store: cozychic (i.e. larger/oversized sweaters and pullovers), bright colors in fall items (leather, coats, sweaters), statement jewelry, etc. Afterwards, we took a tour around the store and had ourselves a shopping session thanks to the $50 gift card that was given to us.

Once done, Elizabeth Natwick, Director of Marketing & Business Development for Arundel Mills took over and gave us a walking tour of the Fashion District in the mall. We stopped over at DKNY, Ultra Diamonds, NYDJ - Not Your Daughter's Jeans and, finally, Vince Camuto. At DKNY, there was a raffle drawing and guess who won herself a $100 DKNY gift card? That's right, me! woop, woop.

It was cool hanging out with bloggers I knew and getting to know new bloggers. And, in one case, getting to meet a blogger that I've been following for some time.

A pretty fun day!
