SAG Awards 2013
I always enjoy the SAG Awards. 1) Because there's no host, 2) It's laid back and 3) It's only 2hrs long. It just flows. Congratulations to Tina Fey, Modern Family, Julianne Moore, Bryan Cranston, Jennifer Lawrence aka J. Law, and Ben Affleck (for directing the Best Cast in a Motion Picture winner Argo).

Inauguration Ceremony
Event: Inauguration Ceremony 2013
Where: U.S. Capitol Building
Summary: Since I didn't get the chance to go 4 years ago due to work, I made sure that this time around I was not going to miss the Inauguration Ceremony for nothing. Screw the cold weather. Though, I will say, the weather wasn't so bad compared to last time. The sun was out most of the time and the wind (chill) wasn't blowing. That helped tremendously. The energy was insane, electric. I loved it!

Summary: I got a chance to cover the red carpet for my blog. Thanks goes out to TAA PR for this opportunity. Sidenote: I came a bit late so I missed out on Lala Anthony and Terrence J (the hosts of the event), 2 Chainz (who looked really dapper...very much impressed) and Angela Simmons. Also, more came through after the red carpet closed.
Off Background
Sometimes, I am so about taking OOTDs that I forget about my background. After watching the Macy's Fashion Show (click here) and before heading to Caroline Jhingory's Half My Size book release party, I asked Corrine to take a few photos. I looked for an area with the least amount of people and went from there. But now looking back, I wished I had moved to much open area inside of Macy's. Ah well. You live and you learn.
Faith in Fashion's Future
I've always wanted to step into the LivingSocial building here in DC. I got a chance to do so through an event that was held there last week - Faith in Fashion's Future: Rent The Runway Pop-Up Showroom. It was a chance to rent gorgeous formal wear and party wear for that special occasion coming up, like say, Inauguration Weekend balls. There was a long line of ladies waiting to scour and try on designer dresses. Luckily, since I rsvp'd I was able to walk right on in and enjoy the scene.

I had SO much fun watching last night's telecast of the 2013 Golden Globes. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler exceeded my expectations.

New Year's Day has come and gone. We're just testing out 2013 with our big toe. You blink a couple of times and *cue next scene* we'll be waist deep into 2013. Seriously, the older we get the quicker time flies.
