Bay Area Roundup

This post was meant to be up last week but I was feeling oh so blog-lazy (Blog-Lazy: Having energy to do other tasks except to update your blog). I put up a preview shot on Instagram with a tagline reading that it'll be up on this blog soon. And at that time my 'soon' was, like, later on in the afternoon or something. Nah. It seems that my 'soon' was actually damn near a week later. My procrastinating and blog-lazy ways strikes again.

During the 4th of July weekend I was in the Bay Area (specifically Oakland and San Fran) for a wedding. I've known the couple for years through a mutual friend and I was excited to get a chance to not only witness their nuptial but also to visit the Bay Area again. I love me some San Fran. A lot.

Here's a brief roundup of some of the outfits I wore while there.

Damn fly-away strand of hair.

Me x Fitness Survey

I was on Twitter  (what's really new, tho?) this morning and came upon Britton's recent tweet of a survey she just completed. (Before I continue, please check out Britton's blog My Big Beautiful Life. It's pretty darn good.) Anywho, she filled out a Fitness Survey.

Since my last update, which just so happened to be my only healthy lifestyle journey post, I've been doing pretty okay. Lost weight, lost inches, gained muscle, gained energy. I see a difference in myself and folks see a difference in me. Good times all around. I will say, however, that I did hit my wall. Actually happened towards the end of last month and ending just a couple of days ago. I realized that I'm kinda over the gym. The same machines just got oh so boring. I whittled down my group classes to just Zumba (Even though the instructor, Erica Dba Empre, is fuckin' amazing and WILL kick your ass in her classes). And my eating habits started getting slightly iffy. Then the kicker: I didn't work out for six days straight. Craziness. I finally got a hold of myself this past Friday and went back to the gym and went back to the eating habits that helped me achieved my goals so far. I will increase my group classes, sign up for boot camp and maybe get a fitness trainer. Finally, and this is a HUGE finally, *takes a deep breath* I will start running. Ugh. I hate running. Ah well.

Anywho, filled out the survey, too. Read below:

FABB Girls x ALDO Accessories

Back Row: Some #TeamFourEyes chick, Whitney, Kim
Front Row: Ariana, Lauren, Nae, Brea

This past Sunday, I had the opportunity to co-host an event along with my blogger pals. It was held at ALDO Accessories located in The Fashion Centre at Pentagon City. Lauren of Tickled, brought forth this group to give like-minded bloggers and industry professionals a way to share information and collaborate virtually and through an organized, member-focused program of events. I am definitely all for that!
