Last night was the Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards. Let's see how some folks fared out on the red carpet, shall we?
Brighten Up
Twas a gloomy day this past Sunday. The temperature dropped drastically throughout the day and a couple hours later after taking these photos, it started snowing. Truly, I'm done. It's been how many times it snowed in the DC area? 15? 50? 72? I don't know. It's just been one too many times throughout this winter season. Spring's meant to start on the 20th of this month. Doesn't matter. Still feels like Winter.
She's Unique Turns 2!
I recently had the chance to head out to Old Town Alexandria and attend the 2nd anniversary of She's Unique. The jewelry store is owned by Katya and lovely mom. The event was brunch theme with a Mimosa Bar and plenty of small bites made by Jessica of Repatriation Adventures. And, of course, the backdrop of the event was the store itself housing beautiful jewelry from local and international designers.
A Girly Take
I met up with Elle at her place for a D.I.Y shindig. We had drinks, food (she made pizza), and her Pandora station rockin' the best of 90s pop to get us in our creative place. Elle's goal was to jazz up her sweatshirt and she told me to bring one along. Me, being me, forgot last minute that I didn't have a plain ol' sweatshirt. Also, I didn't have time to purchase a plain ol' sweatshirt. So, I decided to use the Old Navy sweater I purchased a couple months back.
Here's a before-n-after:
Jamaica Jamaica
Around this time last week I was in Charlotte Douglas International
Airport about to board what would turn out to be a bumpy ass plane ride
back to the DC area. A couple hours later, I landed on a runway that had
just been cleared off from snow and ice. I stared out my window amazed
at the fact that less than 6 hours ago I was in sunny, blue sky, low 80
degrees Montego Bay, Jamaica. I was so blown.
