Even though my excitement level for this year's Grammys was already pretty low, the terrible news of the death of Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna (along with others who died in yesterday's early morning helicopter crash) completely erased whatever excitement was left.
But here we are. As with life, the show must go on. And the Grammys did. For some odd reason, Alicia Keys was the host again. I mentioned that she did a serviceable job last year (Grammys '19) but she (and the show) was still boring. The same applies to this year's, too. Alicia's not as charismatic as she likes to believe. Plus her singing voice has gone down the drain. Some performances held my attention like Tyler, The Creator who brought along Charlie Wilson and Boyz II Men; Billie Eilish and Ariana Grande (I got uber excited when she started off her performance with imagine because it's my favorite song off the thank you, next album). Demi Lovato made an amazing comeback which hit me differently because of Kobe's sudden death; I wish that girl all of the best and truly hope someone genuinely listens to her - she needs the help and support. Usher's Prince tribute was awkward; talented guy but he wasn't the right choice. I dozed off a little after 10pm so couldn't tell you who performed during that time frame.
I can, however, extend my congratulations to Billie Eilish (Best New Artist, Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Album of the Year), Lizzo, Lil Nas X (Gosh, totally forgot about his performance. I vaguely remember seeing Nas on stage with him...along with a K-Pop group), and Tyler, the Creator.

| Quavo Huncho and Saweetie in Moschino Saweetie is such a beautiful woman but a lot of times, her styling choices stymies the beauty. With that being said, this dress is pretty. Even with the weird asymmetrical cut-out. Quavo doesn't look bad himself. Granted, the shiny red fabric (cheapens the suit) with the odd embellishments are odd. Also, the shirt calls for an unbuttoned styling. |

| Common in Dolce and Gabbana He looks really nice in this suit. Fantastic color. I'm a sucker for monochromatic looks when done well. |

| Shawn Mendes in Louis Vuitton And he looks like a rock star is this suit. Did he lose some weight? |

| Lil Nas X in Versace He likes to have fun with his fashion and it shows. On anyone else, this would look gimmicky. On him? It works. Only one handkerchief tied around the wrist was needed, oddly enough. |

| Lana del Rey It's not the most interesting look. But it's a prime example of a letting a pretty dress down with lackluster hair and makeup. Props to her (or her stylist) for buying the dress from a mall. |

| Billy Porter in custom Baja East First thought that came to mind? How Eric off Sex Education would 100% rock this whole look (especially the makeup!) to a dance or something. Doesn't mean I like the look...cause I don't. It's just there. |

| Billie Eilish in Gucci Billie and her love for Gucci is still going strong. I appreciate her continued stance to focus more on the clothes and accessories than her body. It's gaudy (just look at dem nails!) but it works for her. |
