Sunday Prints

Where: Tabaq/Georgetown

Summary: After church on Sunday, we decided to satisfy our hunger and do brunch in DC. Our first choice was Beacon Bar & Grill but that place was filled to the brim. Next up was Founding Farmers but they were talking about an hour wait just for walk-ins. Alrighty. Finally, we hit up U Street which is known for their numerous eateries. Our search ended at Tabaq. Now, I've been at Tabaq before - last year for my birthday. It was there that I devoured an octopus for the first time. (Look ma, I'm still alive!). We were a bit iffy about their breakfast but a nice lady sitting outside on the steps assured us that it will be worth it. And once you add in the $3 mimosa, well, it would definitely be worth it. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was perfect. I wholly recommend this place for brunch! Two thumbs way the eff up! Once done there, it was Georgetown time for some shopping.

I gotta say it was a good Sunday with the sis.

Heading to Tabaq, we came upon this amazing art work in an alley. Of course, a photoshoot ensued. Not in the pictures? A dead rat. Like, this rat clearly was from NYC and hitchhiked a ride to DC. That thing was MASSIVE! R.I.P., though.

Until next time...
