Emmy Awards 2012

I am a TV fanatic. I prefer TV over movies. All day, every day. So, when award shows that recognize TV stars roll 'round, I'm all for it. Just finished watching this year's Emmy Awards. Jimmy Kimmel was the host and I think he did a good job.

Some funny moments -

• The cast of Modern Family skit on the actress who plays Lily being an evil diva on set.
• Jon Stewart winning (again) for his show, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, and Jimmy Fallon and Stephen Colbert were playfully not having none of it.
• Upon her name being called for Best Actress in a Comedy Series, Julia Louis-Dreyfus hugged Amy Poehler (who a lot of folks believed wuz robbed) and in the process "unknowingly" took each other's acceptance speech note.
• Aziz Ansari, with a British accent, acknowledging his fellow British actors...even though he was born and raised in North Carolina.

Congratulations to Julie Bowen, Eric Stonestreet (It should have been Ty Burrell but I'm still slightly happy for him), Claire Danes, Damien Lewis, Aaron Paul, Homeland and, finally, Modern Family on their wins!

*inhales* *slowly exhales* Do you smell that sweet aroma in the air? It's now the beginning of Fall TV Season! The only new show that I truly cannot wait for is Nashville.
