Up and Down

asos curve dc plus size style

It's Monday. Yay.

Excited, much? No? Yeah, me neither.

Anywho, let's start this week off with a new outfit post.

I've been (and still am) a sucker for a matching set aka coordinates aka co-ords. When this set was purchased earlier last month from ASOS Curve, my intention was to wear it during an upcoming vacation. In celebration of my cousin's birthday, the sis and I flew out to Houston, rested, grabbed the cousin and her friends, and road tripped to New Orleans aka The Big Easy aka NOLA aka N'awlins. Such a fun and much needed vacation. Okay, not so much much needed but more like I was itching to visit somewhere that was new to me. Been to Houston before (back in '09) but New Orleans was a newbie. Well, it was a fun ass trip. Definitely would say that we all had a great time. Yes, I'm speaking for everyone.

Now, back to the outfit. I rocked it to the first day of the 2nd weekend of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival (more on the event this week). Also rockin' sunshades from Quay Australia via ASOS and flats from Simply Be. And got my braids did by...me. Money is being saved but my poor arms cried for mercy. Dem braids took forever, yo! Ya'll bout to see these braids for a good 3 months, tho. You have been warned.

Top and Skirt: Alice & You via ASOS Curve
Flats: Simply Be
Sunshades: Quay via ASOS
Bag: Forever 21

This week will be about my trip. Tomorrow: recap of the Festival.
