Event Hopping

I've had this dress since spring. There were plenty of times when I've tried to wear it during the warmer months but it just didn't feel right. Why?

Because this gathered sleeve boho dress from Eloquii was made to be worn in the fall. To my eyes, anyway. It's a dress to be rocked with knee high boots and an outerwear piece for layering. Also, I damn near ripped off the tassels on the neck tie. Okay, I gingerly cut them off. But, still. I'm so tired of tassels. So tired.

This look was worn to three events - on the same day - last week. The first was the Fall Beauty & Hair Pop-Up presented by EveryHue Beauty, whose co-founder is Gizelle Bryant of The Real Housewives of Potomac. There's a high chance you may see me on TV since I had to sign a waiver. Yep, that's right. It was a taped event. This'll be hilarious because of course I may be on a show that I don't even watch. Oops. Next up was at Longchamp in DC. The luxury store partnered with ELLE magazine to host a party in celebration of the brand's latest Mademoiselle Handbag collection. Also, we had cute fashion illustrations drawn by Riley S. I'm yet to pick up mine. Will probably do so this weekend. Finally, ended the night at Mission DC for Bubbles and Bloggers monthly meetup.

Whew.

Listing those events made me realize how much I miss doing event recaps on this blog. Yes, I still do so from time to time. But not at the frequency I used to 3-4 years ago. It would've been cool to have individual posts because I truly enjoyed myself at each event. Writing one or two sentences is definitely not doing it justice. And I have to do a better job attending events. I get invited to quite a few but staying at home wins each and every freakin' time. I'm actually proud of myself for attending all three that night. If this was a year ago, I may have tapped out of two. Shit, maybe all of them.

Do better, Vivi.
