Critics Choice Awards '18

Jessica Biel in Oscar de la Renta
Color me shocked.
This is a beautiful dress and it's styled perfectly.
She looks pretty.

A couple of a days after the Golden Globes, we get the Critics Choice Awards.

Oh, how I love awards season.

Hosted by an actress that I stay forgetting her name, so much so, that I even had to search for it right now for this post, Olivia Munn, the Critics Choice Awards honored the best in TV and film. Olivia hosting skills were just there. She was just there. And when Jay Pharoah came on stage to perform a rap skit with her, my eyes crossed. You see, I don't find Jay Pharoah funny. At all. Nope. Nah.

Congratulations to Sterling K. Brown, Get Out, The Handmaid's Tale, Elisabeth Moss, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Big Little Lies, Allison Janney, Jordan Peele, David Harbour, Ann Dowd, and Rachel Brosnahan. And a special shoutout to Ted Danson for his flawless work on The Good Place.

Fashion time.

Niecy Nash in Badgley Mischka
I want this dress in my closet right now.

The shape of the dress is a bit out my zone, but I'm game.
Like the sleek bob haircut.
Laurie Metcalf in Cristina Ottaviano
Looking like an Oscar winner!
The color is beautiful. The dress is doing her so well.
Even the matching color bag is cute.
Overall, a wonderful look.
(No, I won't be watching the Roseanne reboot.
And I'm yet to watch the Will & Grace reboot, which is a shame because I loved that show.
I don't know...reboots just...it's like, why?!)
Laura Dern in Balmain
Chic as hell.
Wished the waist belt had a bit of embellishment.
Kiernan Shipka in Delpozo
A love/hate kinda look.
At least it works for her age.
Maybe that's where the love for this look is based on.
Sarah Hyland in Naeem Khan
Such a pretty look, despite it being a bit standard.
A belt was needed to take it away from being 'ballerina'.
Maybe some visible earrings, too.
Yara Shahidi in Giambattista Valli Couture
The color is nice (cause, purple) but not feeling the circular embellishment happening on her chest.
Also, the print is blah.
Mary J. Blige in Vivienne Westwood
The bust is beyond wonky.
Besides that, it's a nice dress and look.
Saoirse Ronan in Michael Kors Collection
Beautiful vintage inspired dress.
It's perfect for her aesthetic.
But that ghastly makeup and hair, tho?
It's a no for me, dawg.
Jessica Chastain in Vionnet
She looks pregnant but she's not pregnant.
So, there's that.
Diane Kruger in Vera Wang
Her dress is slipping off to show another.
Such a strange, strange dress.
When fashun goes wrong.

Ending the recap with a whole lot of crazy.

A whole lot.

Chris Sullivan
And I'm diggin' it.
