Event: Jazz in the Gardens
Where: Sculpture Garden located in National Gallery of Art

Summary: I apologize for the lack of updates. I was in one of those not-in-the-mood-for-blogging-nor-reading-blogs type of moods. The ones that last for about a week or two. I'm sure I'm not the only one that goes through this. But I'm out of the funk. I miss it. I have a lot of catching up to do. #leggo!
It's pretty sad that I am a DC native and this was my first time attending Jazz in the Gardens. This is an annual event that occurs each Friday in the summer. And it's free! Only catch is that you can't bring outside alcoholic beverages (I mean, they gotta make their money somehow, no?) But, um, I did a bit of sneaking to bring in my drinks. I went with my usual crew of Cee and Jessica. Zi came along later with a pal. If you guys are interested in going (and you should!), I advise that you go before 4pm to get some space. We got there a little after 5pm and it was P-A-C-K-E-D. It took us about 10/15mins to find us a lil' space in the back. Besides all of that, it was worth it.

Oh, the wonders of Twitter! A friend cc'd me on a RT asking if anyone is interested in free tickets to the BSB/NKOTB concert in DC. Now, I already went to the one in Baltimore and had a freaking blast. But who is gonna pass up free tickets to see their #1 favorite artist even if just 2/3 days prior you went to their concert? Not I. This time, I went along with Cee. Immediately after the Jazz in the Garden, we took the metro to the Verizon Center. Our seats were in an Executive Suite. Even from all the way up top, we still had a great ass time. I mean, when a concert is good, it's good. No matter where you sit.
