Good Evening

My main reason for this trip was to witness a very close family friend get married. Even though I had plenty of activities planned throughout this trip, two nights were reserved for wedding activities: Bridal Shower and Cocktail Event.

The bridal shower was held at my family friend's vacation villa in Camps Bay. With my friend having done high school in Nigeria, undergrad in Illinois, grad school in Massachusetts, and currently residing in Johannesburg, South Africa, one could imagine the eclectic mix of ladies in the room.

I just loved the setup for the Shower. We started just when the sun was setting and ended well into the evening.

The following night was the Cocktail Event. It took place in Stellenbosch, a wine town which is roughly 30-45 minutes away from Cape Town. The venue was on the wedding site but in the picnic area - Zorgvliet Picnic Area. With white lights draped all around the area, overflow of wine, and plenty hors d'oeuvres, it was the perfect outdoor venue to dance and mingle with the wedding guests.

So, those were my looks for the two wedding events. What did I wear to the main day? Well, check back here tomorrow to find out.
