Palm Trees

Here in the DC area, we're experiencing Winter with below freezing temperatures and daily threats of freezing rain and slick spots. Well, in Cape Town, it's *sings* summer summer summer time!

While I'm not a huge fan of Summer...okay, I'm not a fan of Summer (Team #EffSumerTho), I was able to tolerate the weather over there because of no humidity. I never felt like I was going to faint. Also, when night falls, the temperature considerably cools down. So that was a major plus.

While preparing for this trip, I had in mind the swimsuit I was going to bring: Gabifresh Paradise Found Underwire One Piece. Once it was available for purchase, I hightailed over to SwimsuitsForAll to cop the item only to see that the due time for shipping was on a day where I would be well into my trip. Slightly bummed, I still bought the one piece. Well, a couple of days before departure, a sweet surprise was waiting for me on my doorstep: the packaged swimsuit! GLORAY.

Camps Bay
Our plan was to hit up the nearby beach - Camps Bay Beach. And it worked out perfectly since our family friends were staying in a villa in Camps Bay. But after a morning of eating great breakfast and gist, we ran out of time to hit up the beach. But, hey, that's what hotel pools are for, no?

It can be said that this one piece could flatter just about any body shape. The swimsuit comes with PowerMesh lining to support both the boobs and tummy area. The white waistband design gives the illusion of a defined waist. The bra has an underwire and the straps are detachable and adjustable. I bought the D/DD size but the E/F size would've been a better look. But that's minor. This gorgeous palm print one piece is a true winner.

Did you buy swimwear from the Gabifresh x Swim Sexy collection?

Next post: My looks for the bridal shower and cocktail night. Yep, my main reason for this trip was to witness a dear friend of mine get married.
