Critics' Choice Awards '15

Angie Harmon in Christian Siriano
How lovely is this dress?
Styling is perfect.

Well, it's been a while since an awards show produced so many winners that either I am a fan of or just plain ol' deserved the hardware. Say hi to the Critic's Choice Awards! Hosted by the very charming (and also a winner!) Cat Deeley, this awards show honored the best in TV. And considering I'm team TV >>>>> Movie/Film, of course I would watch.

The two hour telecast went by pretty quickly. No in between skits. No music number. Just the host saying a few jokes in the beginning, stars reading the nominees and announcing the winner, a moment of silence for departing shows, and...that's about it. So congratulations to Jonathan Banks, Lorraine Toussaint, TJ Miller, Seth MacFarlane (He was awarded the "Louis XIII Genius Award". His speech was funny and humble, at the same time. He's adorable.), Cat Deeley, Bob Odenkirk, Silicon Valley, and Taraji P. Henson.

Let's get into some red carpet fashion.

Charlize Theron
This woman stays beautiful.
Not much of a fan for cut-outs, but this dress is really nice.
When she walked out on stage, she walked with a purpose. Not caring at all that the slit is neigh high.
That's how to do it.

Tracee Ellis Ross
Just a sick-ass outfit.
Great makeup, great styling.
Love it.

Alexander Wang
Taraji P. Henson in Alexander Wang
One of her better looks in quite some time.
Wrong shoes, tho. And no to the hair. And maybe a different clutch.
Hopefully, she continues to improve because she's 'bout to win some more awards.

Alice + Olivia
Mae Whitman in Alice + Olivia
Despite the hairstyle giving off some conehead vibes, Mae looks really cute.
Love the embellished dress and the barely there metallic sandals were the right choice.
This look, however, needed bolder makeup.

Reem Acra Couture
Gina Rodriguez in Reem Acra Couture
Yay! Gina is finally wearing something stylish and youthful.
Too bad 'bout the shoes. But, hey. Baby steps.

Felicity Huffman
The only things wrong with this look are the shoes, the necklace (not needed), and the bland lip color.
Everything else? Serviceable.

Anna Farris
Just imagine this dress, shoes, and clutch in a vibrant color?
Go ahead, imagine.
See?!!
Now slap Anna for me.
Geez, girl. Step your game up!

Chelsea Peretti
This could've been a cute colorblock look if the dress stopped above the knees and the clutch was black.
Once again, begging for a bolder lip color.
The one chosen matched the bottom tier of the dress a little too perfectly.

Azzaro Couture
Cat Deeley in Azzaro Couture
The mellow orange color is doing nothing for Cat.
If the dress was navy blue like the feathers/tree branches (???) embroidered down her dress?
Much better outcome.
And a huge no to the sparkly gold platform shoes. Yikes.

Bryshere Y. Gray
Aww. Look my adorable boo thang.
He looks good.
