Sisterhood & Style Event Recap

Event: Sisterhood & Style
Date: May 18
Location: Eloquii

While it was primarily a shopping event, the main theme was women empowerment.

In fact, we asked the attendees to answer our question of the evening: "What does sisterhood mean to you?" Once we were done with the shopping portion, we moved to the lounge area (yes, lounge area) for a brief discussion on the topic. It was a lively and interactive conversation.

I co-hosted Sisterhood & Style with Bisi,  Chichi, and Val. We're a supportive bunch - they were vendors at my shopping event, we've hosted a styling event, and did a spring trends lookbook collaboration. It only made sense to create the event's theme around sisterhood and friendship. We may have similarities (Nigerian-Americans, plus size, style/fashion bloggers) and differences (ethnic groups, styles, personalities) but we have a good vibe and good fun whenever we're together. I'm glad the opportunity was there to partner with Eloquii because our hope was to host an event before the concept store closed down.

Well, as we all know by now, Eloquii Pentagon City is here to stay! That's right, that's right. Amazing the amount of success the store has garnered in this short amount of time. So much so, there'll be a pop-up store in Chicago and Columbus later on this year.
