Cover-up Dress


Y'know, wearing gingham always had me stumped. Mainly because I associate gingham with two things 1) my daywear uniform back during my boarding school days in Nigeria and 2) a table cloth.

Of course, in order for me not to look like I'm rockin' a tablecloth, I had to find the right gingham in the right style for my body. And guess what? I did! But in the oddest of sections - under swimwear.  That's right, that's right. I'm wearing a swim cover-up from Catherines as a dress. Because it's sheer, I added a black slip underneath. The faux wrap detail won me over. My only mistake was sizing up. No need for that. In fact, I'd advise to size down.

Believe it or not, wearing swimwear items as an everyday piece is a great way to have fun with your wardrobe. A one piece swimsuit can be worn as a bodysuit.
