I am wearing two of my most recent purchases: Labworks Tweed Jacket with PU Detailing and ASOS Curve Jersey Skater Skirt (not jersey but very similar!). Speaking of purchases, I did a bit of thrifting these past two months (Dec. '12 and Jan. '13). A part of me wants to do a video haul. But me in front of a camera? *shudders*

Caroline's event couldn't have come at a better time! As I mentioned before, I'm trying to get my healthy on. I'm taking in as much inspiration as possible. And Caroline is definitely an inspiration! As a food addict and topping at 300+ pounds, she decided in college to start losing weight. She started off by walking everywhere. Step by step she added more exercise, drastic change in her diet and therapy. By the time she was done with college she had lost over 150 pounds! That was 10 years ago and she has still maintained her weight. Her story has been seen in People, Shape and Essence magazines. She just finished up her press tour stopping by Good Morning America, Dr. Oz, Access Hollywood and Today Show.

Her event was held at Touchstone Gallery. I had such a great time. DJ Eskada provide the crowd with great tunes. It was hosted by Sunni (check out her website here), who is the mid-day radio host for WPGC 95.5. Special guest was Nike Celebrity fitness trainer, Deanna Jefferson.
