#StyledByShellBCheri x #StyledByWaveeeyB

I heard about this blogger style shoot from a couple of my blogger friends that were participating. I thought it was a wonderful concept. I got the chance to meet the mastermind behind the shoot, Shell B, at the She's Unique Turns 2 event a couple weeks ago. I told her what I thought of her idea and how much I liked it and she, in return, asked if I wanted to be a part of the shoot. I'm like, are you sure? I mean, the shoot was that following week and I didn't want to mess up the flow. She insisted it was okay and I was internally happy.

Due to our scheduling conflicts, Shell B sent over Waverly to come by my place to style that one item that I had a problem figuring out how to wear. Oh yeah...forgot to mention the concept behind the shoot. We were told to pick that one particular item in our closet that we had no clue how to style. It could be a pair of shoes, a coat, a blouse, some jeans, etc. For me, that item was a Forever 21 3D-ish pink floral top.

Wave felt that since the top was girly we should add something a bit 'tougher' to the bottom. She decided on the faux leather pleated midi skirt from Ashley Stewart. For footwear, I suggested a pair of New Look heels that I had yet to wear. Since it has gold metal plates, it kind of went with the tougher contrast Wave was going for. Next up: accessories. Wave selected pieces that complemented the color of the top.

The venue of the shoot was at Malmaison. I love this place; it's where I had my surprise birthday dinner last year. I came bare faced because I was going to be beautified by Elle who was the makeup artist on the set. From there I got to meet many other bloggers that I've either seen on social media or heard of their (blog) names; it was nice to place a face. The photographer of the shoot was Ashley and as you'll see both in this post and the album on Facebook, her work is amazing! Behind the scenes shots were done by Julien and Rosa.

I loved the atmosphere of the shoot. Put a bunch of high energy bloggers together and, of course, there'll be some of that fun craziness on set. But we also knew why we were there so when it was time to shoot our photos, we did our thang. Looking at end results, it's amazing what Shell B created. The outfits that were brought to life, our personalities that shined through, the utmost joy and excitement on our faces. It was pure magic.

Alrighty. Check out my final look done by Waverly!
