Tickled Preview

My blogger friend, Lauren of Haute off the Press, has launched her new baby - Tickled Photo Booth Company. TPBC is a modern rendition of the photo booth with the absolute most compact and beautiful design. 

Lauren decided to do a photo shoot for the soon-to-be launched website. The set was located in Old Town Alexandria inside an intimate studio. I was there to lend a helping hand and mostly assist the stylist on the set, Keri of A Diva State of Mind. The atmosphere was light, the photographer was great, and we all had a good time making sure Lauren gets the perfect shots for her new company's website.

Eloquii Back

"Allow me to re-introduce myself" - Eloquii

Originally a by product of The Limited, Eloquii is back and now it's own independent company. Eloquii, which caters to sizes 14-24, is again on the scene providing styles that can transform from work day to play night.

First time around, I was sort of in the middle about Eloquii. The online store had some beautiful items but the sizing was so off. I'm talking about one to two sizes off. Quite frustrating, indeed. But when The Limited made its its announcement last year that Eloquii was closing down, I had to admit I was a bit disappointed that yet another plus size store had to be let go. 

Well, Eloquii is officially up and running. I took a look into their new website this morning and came across some really nice items. I will note that the dresses didn't wow me but based on what was said to Marie Denee of The Curvy Fashionista, Eloquii will launch 25 new styles every 2-3 weeks. So, I'll be patient and wait for their next dresses collection.

Baaaa

(I was going to go with 'Baa Baa Black Sheep' as the title of this post. But, as you can see, my sheep is white. Bummed, I blurted out 'Baaa!' I laughed because I can be corny at times and decided to go along with a sheep's sound as the title. The end.)

Last year when I posted this look on my Facebook page (weirdly enough, around this same month; just 6 days apart), Elle and Wave commented on how they, too, have the Old Navy sheep sweater. We all agreed that we should do a shoot of us wearing the item. Totally forgot until recently. I'm in the process of purging out my closet and separating the stuff I'll give away from the stuff I'm going to sell. This Old Navy sheep sweater will be one of the items I'm selling. I wanted to give it a go one more time before it finds a new home so I reached out to Wave and Elle to see if they were still down for the shoot. Unfortunately, Elle couldn't find hers so it was just me and Wave. I mentally inserted Elle throughout my photos, though. And you should do the same.

One More Time

I've been waiting for quite some time to debut this ASOS Curve Leather Skirt. I thought I had it going on when I purchased this item a month or two ago on sale. The original price was $157.41 and I bought mine for $75+. iWin, right? Unfortunately, that would be a 'no'. You see, about roughly two weeks later I made my usual online window shopping rounds and stopped at ASOS. Checked out the Curve page's Skirts section and I froze. The beautiful skirt, the exact same blue beautiful skirt that I own and I thought I got at a great deal was still on sale...and THIRTY DOLLARS CHEAPER. Excuse me while I sigh. The current price is now $47.22. That's right. $47.22. One more time for the folks in the back row - $47.22.
