Grammys 2016
Kacey Musgraves in Armani Prive
Best Dressed by Default
No, but really.
I do like this look. From the high sleek ponytail, to the matte lipstick, to her vibrant dress.
And it's tiered. Well, I guess it is making a comeback, after all.

A subpar red carpet followed by a subpar televised show.

Ah well.

It was just a night to be underwhelmed. No one brought it on the red carpet. And as of right now, the only performances that comes to mind were from Kendrick Lamar, Pentatonix (!!!) x Stevie Wonder's tribute to Maurice White of Earth, Wind & Fire,  Laga Gaga's tribute to David Bowie, Alabama Shakes, Hamilton, and, maybe, the Lionel Richie tribute (Yay, Demi!). Everybody else was boring or I completely zoned out. Then the Album of the Year award was gifted to Ms. Taylor Swift. That gave me a hearty laugh. Not because I don't think she deserves it (don't really care much for 1989 but I do think Taylor is a gifted songwriter who knows how to pick hits). Oh no. The reason why I laughed so hard is because of the shitstorm this win will produce. Then T. Swizzle dropped the gauntlet and (rightfully) called out Kanye. Meanwhile, in other news, 'Ye is exhausting. I'm exhausted. He proclaimed last night on Twitter that his album will only be available on Tidal. Well, as far as I'm concerned, that means his album doesn't exist. Unless someone wants to provide me with a link. *shrugs*

Congratulations to Pentatonix, Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars, Kendrick Lamar, the Where Are You Now folks (aka Justin Beiber, Skrillex, and Diplo), Alabama Shakes, and Taylor Swift.

Let's get into some fashion, shall we?

Big Sean in Z Zegna
He's looking very suave.
And look at him smizing.
Chrissy Teigen in Yousef Al-Jasmi
Chrissy looks really nice in this white sparkly cape number.
I do think the ponytail is a bit severe for her cause it's doing wrong thangs to the face.
OR
Maybe it's the makeup.
Grammys 2016
Sam Hunt in Dolce & Gabbana
#FAHN
Like the switch up with the pink suit.
Either the pants are wrinkled or it gives off that effect with his hands in the pocket because it's too tight.
Love the shoes.
Grammys 2016
Adele in Givenchy
Adele in black. How shocking.
The hairdo is cute.
Grammys 2016
Ciara in Alexandre Vauthier
She's leaving nothing to the imagination in this dress.
Despite the crotch high split, it's not really exciting.
It's just showing off her insanely toned body.
Tori Kelly in Gauri and Nainika
Meh.
Gorgeous color. But that's all I got.
And that is not the right hairstyle for her naturally curly hair.
Janelle Monae in Jean Paul Gaultier
This look is for Janelle and Janelle only.
No one else could dare try this and come off looking as normal as she does.
I guess we're just used to Janelle's kooky looks.
But it works for her.

Meghan Trainor in Michael Costello
She does absolutely nada for me.
However, the rich brown color with highlights does look good on her. Plus the haircut.
The dress is nice enough save for the gigantic shoulder pads.
Anytime I see platform heels, I wince. Not a fan.
Grammys 2016
Beyonce in Inbal Dror
She arrived like, literally, 15 minutes before the show ended to present Record of the Year.
I'm just shaking my head at this dress. Cause, wow.
It's fug.
What puts me over the edge with this entire look is how the earrings matches precisely with the collar adornments.
Oh dear.
Grammys 2016
Taylor Swift in Atelier Versace
Tay Tay did a similar skirt silhouette last year (scroll down to see the look)
While she's definitely representing for the upcoming Spring season with the colors, this is a fail.
Finally, she did something right to her hair. The choker was a nice touch.

Now. It's the time we've been waiting for. Who won the David Bowie Inspired Look of the Night? The challengers? Zendaya (Coleman) and Lady Gaga.

Grammys 2016
Zendaya in DSquared2
Grammys 2016
Lady Gaga in Marc Jacobs
This win goes to Lady Gaga. Easily. While I immediately knew what Zendaya was trying to do with her getup, it took a bit of time for some folks online to get it. All they saw was the horrendous mullet (someone mentioned she looked like Joe Dirt and I laughed and laughed). With Lady Gaga, you get David Bowie. The hair, the makeup, to the dress (that absolutely looks like something David has worn as a suit) to the sky high red platform shoes.

And that's all she wrote. Did you watch the Grammys? Who gave you life with their performance? Any favorites on the red carpet?
