Dancing Queen

My favorite summer TV show premiered tonight: "So You Think You Can Dance".

YouTube Love

I am an internet fiend. From entertainment websites to NBA websites to blogs and what not (let's not forget e-shopping!), I love me some Wide World Web. But what keeps me up at the wee hours of the night? Wikipedia (yes, Wikipedia) and YouTube. Click on the wrong video and I find myself watching vid upon vid for more than 5hrs. "How the freak did that happen?" I don't know but it sure was fun!

Friend Friday I

What magazines do you subscribe to? I'm a sucker for entertainment magazines. Right now, though, just ESPN magazine. I recently got back to EW magazine. I miss it so. I have an addiction of buying magazine. So I had to stop my subscriptions and even train myself to not purchase magazines from grocery stores/book stores/stores in the airport. But during my hey dey? Maxim Blender (now defunct... *weeps* That was such a great, great, great  music magazine), EW, ESPN and Rolling Stone. Also, my sister subscribes to InStyle and People Style and some others but I just focus on those two because I love it.

Do you watch any fashion shows? Does "Gossip Girl" count? E! Red Carpet specials? Um...just "Project Runway". I used to be a fan of "America's Next Top Model" but that became annoying when Tyra started making it ALL ABOUT HER. But with news of next season being an All-Star season, I may just watch it again.

Beyond blogs, what websites do you frequent for fashion inspiration? Tom and Lorenzo. The duo started off their site as a blog focused on "Project Runway". But within time, it has evolved into a fashion and entertainment website.

Advertisements play a huge role in forming public opinion about a product and a brand. What ads do you like and why? I like Target ads. It is just fun and bright. It brings a smile to my face. My favorite Target ad was what I like to call the "denim ad" of last year:

I also like Michael Kors, Louis Vuitton and on some occasion, Chanel.

Do you own any fashion books? No. Oops, I take that back. Yes. Just one. Nigel Barker's Beauty Equation. I mean, it's more of beauty AND fashion, though. So, I guess I'm right back to no. Ok. But I do like reading my sister's and friends' collections.
